What’s the difference between bookkeeping and accounting?

Bookkeeping is the recording of your day-to-day business transactions like the payments you receive and the bills and payroll you pay—and making sure all those transactions add up accurately.

Accounting is higher-level. It uses financial strategies to forecast, budget, set goals, and solve problems. My Planning & Forecasting service is focused on accounting for your business.

Think of it like this: Bookkeeping gives you financial data. And accounting helps you figure out what to do with that data.

What information do I have to provide if we’re doing monthly bookkeeping?

Bank and visa statements, loan statements, receipts, and anything else that would help me make sense of your month. Don’t worry though, I’ll provide a lot of guidance to make sure we’re not missing anything!

Can I work with you if I’m behind on my bookkeeping?
